Flying Solo

This weekend Colin was up in Green Bay at a football game with his friend Killer, and I was on my own with the boys. I was worried I'd be exhausted, but it turned out to be a great weekend. On Sat. we went to our 4-year-old friend, Anna's soccer game and then to a birthday party for Jackson's little buddy Ethan.

On Sun. it was the culmination of alumni weekend for the Miami soccer team and I took the boys to see the game and to see some of my old teammates. It was a blast. If you'd like to see a pic of us (Jackson, Liam and I) on the field at halftime, there's a funny one on Miami's athletic website, which I've linked here. (Look at the Sept. 19th game. We're #20 out of 26 pics). Every year we are announced at halftime of the Sunday game and since Colin was out of town I had to bring the boys on the field with me. Jackson kept running back and forth from me to the sideline where a little girl was sitting with her doggie. Little girls and doggies are two of his favorites. There were a bunch of us there this year and most had little babies. Jackson and Liam loved watching and playing soccer, but mainly playing with the doggies and the other kids who were there too. Miami ended up winning 3-2 in an exciting match.

Game faces are on!

I took them onto the football field as well. It was a hot day, thus Liam was stripped down for the car ride home.

Jackson is such the big brother. He is in full leadership mode.
