Conversations with Brewster

When we put Jackson to bed at night after books, end of day questions, etc., we rarely go back in to check on him while he's awake. But tonight after Colin left the room, he heard Jackson say something (often it's a protest that we ignore) and slowly opened the door to see what was up. Well, apparently Jackson said:

"Woof woof."
"You're so silly."
"I love you."
"Tickle tickle."

At this point, Colin realized that it was Brewster, his stuffed golden retriever, to whom he was talking. He decided to listen some more, unbeknownst to Jackson. Here's what else he heard:

"We say Brewster, they say Brewstie."

(Back story on this one is that at dinner we were mentioning to him that in Boston people talk differently, like Brewsta versus Brewster. Apparently he was practicing his Boston accent.)

"We say Crewster, they say Crewsta." (more practicing)

"No way!"
"Oh my gosh!"
"Yes way!"
"No way!"
"Yes way!"

We went back a little later to see if there were any other conversations, but he was getting tired and was merely petting Brewster lovingly. So cute!
