Summer at the Cape 2012

***Warning*** LOTS of cute pictures following...

Our visit to the Cape was, as always, fabulous. Lots to show in one post, but it was so hard to leave pictures out. We had such a great time and my parents are always such awesome hosts. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Here's the recap:
The 5 grandkids pretty much dominated the activities, although, who doesn't love playdoh?

Liam, Cousin Ashley, and Jackson doing Playdoh on the deck with Grandma.

Beach Day #1: We love love love Crosby Beach.

Liam finds a crab shell. They actually came across a horseshoe crab that some other boys had found. Jackson, Liam and the three other boys decided to build it a castle and moat and connecting rivers to the ocean. However, they just couldn't resist playing with it and finally after much kiddo torture, the poor crab was set free in the ocean. Jackson felt like an animal rescuer like his fav character Diego!

Bellsie

Next we went on a hike along Paine's Creek where the herring run upstream. It was pretty cool to see the path the fish have to take to get to the pond up stream.

Jackson waiting for the right moment to catch one!

Who is that cute troll under the bridge?

Great picture of cousin Ashley and Aunt Val along the hike.

Happy 4th everybody! We caught the parade for the second year in a row and it's always a big hit. Lots of big fire trucks, floats with boats, dancing and candy throwing!

The whole gang along the parade route.

Dinner at the Lobster Claw

And a funny story read by Grandma rounded out the evening.

Anniversary dinner on the water...12 years!! Love you Colinski.

Finally, a pool day with the cousins ended our fun trip.
