Summer Cape Trip - Part 2

We decided to take the kids over to Nickerson State Park on this trip to the Cape and explore Upper and Lower Cliff Ponds. Andy and I used to love it here when we were this age and older. We would bring our two besties Kevin and Michelle with us on trips and explore, swim, and raft (on the Pacesetter and RiverRat, of course) across the ponds. Shout out to Michelle and Kev if you are reading this...brings back great memories - miss seeing you guys!
Jackson found a fishing line and "bait"...he was disappointed that he never caught a thing!
It was windy that day so Ella decided to take cover in the raft.
My Dad graciously took 5 grandchildren on a rafting trip ("a three hour tour...") one at a time. I think his level of excitement diminished by the second or third time out.
 Another day at Crosby Beach!
Jackson's "Robot"
Snoozy Wyatt

The kids decided it would be fun to try to dig up the anchor for this boat we see every year. They were so excited when they found it!
We took a trip to Chatham to see the Chatham Lighthouse and where there were sharks sighted in the ocean.
I think Wyatt sees one!
 Look what we found!
"Can I take him home with me?"

My Dad thought he could fit on a kid-sized raft. Or not.
 Beach Cuties
Jumping waves with Grandma and Grandpa
 Foggy beach day
Natural History Museum hike with good friend Susan and kids
Our last event of the trip was an excursion to Boston. We did the Swan Boats in the Garden in the middle of the city, and then saw the "Make Way for Ducklings" statues.

Last beach day...drizzling but still a fun day to explore.

Thanks for the memories, Grandma and Grandpa!
