Liam is 6!

Our a-w-e-s-o-m-e guy Liam just turned six with an epic Star Wars party. He was Luke Skywalker, of course. (see below)
We invited seven other Padawan Jedis over for some...
We also ate a "Chewbacca" cake.

Some family members made cameos as other Star Wars characters in the decor. (cousin Durham was R2D2, Sammy was C3PO, Grandma and Grandpa were Ewoks)

Wyatt was Yoda, Ella was Princess Leia and Jackson was Han Solo. (see below)
We made these cool wall stickers at our main library in Cincinnati in their newly opened Maker Space. If you are in the area, it's a really cool place to create anything from pin-on buttons (which the kids all got as party favors, designating them as full-fledged jedi) to these vinyl stickers. They have an engraver, 3-d printer, photography equipment and mini recording studio too. Really neat and all for free (minus the material used to make each one...but that's even cheap!).

We had some training the padawans had to go through before becoming jedi.
They had to cover a stormtrooper with silly string after making their way though a "lazer beam" course.
They had to learn how to use a light saber. Colin did a great job setting up the training in the basement with 11 kids wielding lightsabers!
It was also super fun to have Grandma and Grandpa in for the celebration.

Ella, Grandma and Mommy had a girls' lunch at a fancy restaurant in town.

Thanks for my new car Grandma and Grandpa!
Thanks for my awesome gifts everybody!
Awesome shirt from Auntie Gretch, Uncle Bob and Max and Maddie
And one more for good measure...Monkey just lounging around.
