It's a Test

What do all of these pictures have in common?

The answer is Jackson. Or rather the absence of Jackson.

I maintain an electronic residence on Facebook. It's been fun to stay in contact with old friends from high school and college, to see pictures of how people have aged, their families and kids. I enjoy knowing where they are now and what they are doing.

Yesterday via Facebook I found an old, old friend Ben that I grew up with in NC. I probably haven't talked to him in 20 years. Well I was trying to get off a quick email to him. Jackson was crawling about. Katie was putting the finishing touches on dinner. Jackson made his way out to the kitchen to check on Katie's progress as I'm sure he was getting hungry. Nothing unuaual, he'll often hang with Mom out there.

As I'm typing away I hear some banging. Katie does too. Must be Jackson. Then from the kitchen I hear laughter and "Is he banging on the wall? It sounds like he's upstairs."

UH OH!

All those pictures above are where Jackson was not. He had made his way out of our family room, down the hall, UP THE STAIRS all by himself and was in the upstairs bathroom doing whatever babies do when they are upstairs unsupervised.

Katie learned a good lesson. She needs to be watching Jackson when Daddy is supposed to be watching Jackson.

The happy reunion below.

Well, is the stairway gate installed yet? Or... you could teach him to come down the stairs backwards as most beginners do. What a mover and shaker you've wrought. Good luck, babies do surprise us.
