Maestro Manly

Jackson got a musical instrument set for his birthday. In it was a kazoo, a harmonica, an egg shaker, a tambourine, a wooden noise-making thing, a cymbal shaker, and castanets. He is good with any instrument he can shake or bang on, but is working on the ones you need to blow into. So, this next video shows his progress after a week or so of practice. Pretty good, huh?

We usually have to drain out his drool afterward, but it's ok with us. Notice his disappearing act at the end of the video. Off to climb some more stairs?

Initially he would bring the harmonica over to us to play. And then when we would hold it up for him he would just open his mouth and drool into it, but no blowing.

In the last couple days he started to get it but had to work really hard for very little noise. Even just this morning his belly was heaving as he tried so hard. Now he's basically an expert, assuming we hold it properly. Otherwise he just sticks the end of it in his mouth.

I love this. It is adorable. Uncle John can play him a song next time.
