The Fireman and Mr. Pumpkin Pants

Jackson thoroughly enjoyed handing out candy to the kids tonight. A little stingy though, usually just one piece per kid unless we encouraged his generosity. He got sooo excited that he would squeal and jump around when he saw them coming. Wish we had a better picture of his face with kids at the door, the boy was delighted. He was dressed like a little fireman and Liam had a pumpkin onesie on and velvet pumpkin-colored pants. Cute.

We prepped Jackson for a couple days on what to expect. Here was Katie's speech. "After dinner you're gonna hear ding-dong, and who's gonna be at the door? Kids! And we're gonna give them candy. Then we say bye-bye and shut the door. Then you're gonna hear ding-dong, and who's gonna be at the door?... This was repeated numerous times until Jackson could join in as though he'd learned a new song.

Here is Jackson scouting for kids. He also liked the more relaxed scout post, sitting at his desk where he could keep an eye on the bucket of candy.
