Easter

We had a beautiful weekend here for Easter. The kids enjoyed the many egg hunts and treats.
Thanks for the crafts Grandma!

Liam: "What's this guy so smiley for? I definitely found more eggs!"

We also enjoyed a family hike in a new park for us, the Cincinnati Nature Center. We'll be back for sure!
Our hike led us past fallen trees, ponds filled with fish and turtles, and lots of birds.
The boys enjoyed climbing the trees, of course!

Wyatt(4): stalling at bedtime, "Mommy how did God make all dese toes?"

Wyatt(4): as I'm putting him to bed,"Momma I can't stop loving you. Why you keep your hair away from me?"

Me: I didn't want to tickle you.

Him: "I want you to."

Wyatt (3): describing how his legs look in knee socks, "My wittle (little) weg (leg) cheeks are popping out of my blue socks."

Wyatt(2): describing his dream, "Monster get me. Pick up me."

Ella(4) and Wyatt(2): to Mommy and Daddy, "I love you dearwy (dearly)."

Ella(4): to Mommy, "You don't need to use a lawnmower on your hair anymore!" (she meant a hairdryer)

Liam(6): to Mommy, "You're the Mom of my dreams." (as I'm putting him to bed)

Ella(4): to Mommy, "I'm in true love with you." (after dancing in the car to some jams)

Liam(5): To Mom, "I love you more than the swamp." (huh?It's supposed to be a compliment, I'm sure)
To Dad, "I love you more than a big rock." (again, huh? But surely a compliment.)

Wyatt(1): (hands me a turd, a real turd) "Hmmm, I guess since this fell out of my diaper I must give it to Mom since she's always asking me to hand her things I shouldn't have."

Jackson(6): (It's 6am and I'm still in bed...) "Mom wake up! I have two exciting things to tell you! One, I can breathe out of my nose again. Two, my glow snake glowed all night long!"

Liam(4): "I love you more than numbers can count."

Ella(2): "I wake up im ma morning. I watch Frosty Snowmane!"

Jackson(5): "Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus 'Prist' (long I sound) is born."

Liam(3): "Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus 'Crust' is born."

Ella(2): "No want lunch. Want just 'pop'." (lollipop)

Liam(3): "That's such a dandy little flower!" (looking at a dandelion)

Jackson(5): "If a good guy gets a bad guy, he 'displodes' (explodes), right?"

Jackson(5): "Daddy, I want a 'memote incontrol' (remote control) for Christmas!"

Liamisms(3): "'Brayoo!' Says the elphalent."
"Thanks for the dolmands (almonds) mom!"

Liam: "Where's my gui-town?" When he really means, "Where's my guitar?" This is so named because Colin plays a song on the guitar the boys have dubbed the "Town Song". Liam just has it all a little mixed up.

Liam just before bed: "Daddy fun today wrestle run tackle."

Jackson this morning: "So here's my question: Do you know about raccoon monkeys? They have noses...that grow! I saw one outside our house two weeks ago."
Mom: Good story buddy.

Jackson: "What breathing all about? How skin works?" (out of the blue questions...I likened lungs to balloons and skin to a sock...wonder if all made sense to him??)

Jackson: "Mommy, I farted in the new grocery store." (upon returning from Kohl's, a department store, during bedtime story time)

Jackson: "Mommy why are you wearing a towel?" (referring to my terry cloth maternity top)

Jackson: "Mommy I love you lots of times. I love you when you're sad. I love you when you're happy. I love you when you're puzzled."

Liam: "Hey yo!"

Jackson: "Mommy come see the dead frog!" (referring to the terd that fell out of Liam's diaper)

Jackson: "Oh I see. So that's how it works." (he's two going on 12)

Jackson: "When I'm bigger I'll have lots of hair and say lots of words."
