We had a great week last week in Virginia with Colin's family celebrating his mom's birthday. Colin's brother John and wife Susan were also in attendance for the festivities. The highlight, in my opinion, was our excursion to Virginia beach. We were there all of two days and although the first was rained out (boo) the second was beautiful and we spent most of the day on the sandy shores.
We were entertained by the Blue Angels while on the beach. They were doing run throughs for their show the following weekend. What a great show for us, though! The kiddos loved seeing the loud planes fly overhead on the beach...close up! The formations they flew in were incredible and made me a tad nervous. Especially when they flew directly at each other.
A great time was had by all. We concurred that this should be an annual trip.
