Miami Hike

Last weekend we decided to head up to Miami U. to hike the trails and picnic on campus. We took a hike we'd done before specifically because it had a large suspension bridge over a creek. We had read a story recently where two boys cross a suspension bridge when trying to find a shortcut to school and thought Jackson would like it. We were out for about an hour but only hiked about a mile...mainly because Jackson walked the whole way by himself. Liam hitched a ride with Colin.

Liam eating something that he shouldn't again...for the hundredth time.

After our hike and picnic we played in the water fountains uptown and had a great time cooling off.

When she says the hundredth time, she means that day. And when Jackson has his picture taken and is holding something he thinks is neat, he can't resist holding it up for the camera and looking at whatever it is. It's a task to get his eyes to track to the camera.

What a terrific lookin family. Thanks for great pix of Katie. Do those fountains take turns popping up? I noticed one had a tiny pop while the one the boys are near is 2.5 feet up in the air. What a FUN ending to a great hike.
Colin climbed Hawks Bill Mtn, NC, when he was about 40 months old. (probably oct of 1979)
I am glad you're hiking too.
love, sammy
