I was cleaning out closets and organizing when I came upon these from last winter. The boys wanted to see if they still fit. They wore them in the 90 degree heat with no complaints. Funny boys.

"Jackson can use scissors with ease!"
I was cutting something and Jackson wanted to try. Last time we worked with scissors he was still chopping with two hands and would occasionally try with one. This time he just went to it with one hand like a big boy. (As a side note, I wanted to get the info off of the paper I gave to him and thought to myself that he wouldn't chop it into so many pieces because he had never done that before. Oh well.)

"Liam likes utensils!"
I've figured out that Liam really wants to eat all by himself, no help from Mommy, thank you very much. Mmmmm yogurt!

And finally,
"Our kids, the artists!"
We played all morning in our back yard doing arts and crafts and running around doing boy stuff. It was a beautiful morning. The easel is a new addition from our neighbors who are moving. We drew with chalk, crayons, markers, and glitter glue (Jackson's fav.). We also stamped with big foam insect stamps.

warning from a parent with older kids (but not that much older!!) once they learn how to cut... they learn how to cut EVERYTHING. luckily we haven't had an hair incident, but there have been some stuffed animals that are looking a little less furry. but cutting is a HUGE step and makes art even more fun!
Also, we have an older version of that easel and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! We went to the dollar tree and bought a ton of chalk and just leave the tray stocked. When the kiddos both want to paint standing up we just tape a piece of paper over the chalk board side. love it! Also... fyi, ice cube trays are the perfect paint tray and fit really well into those little trays.
